The need of an institution for higher education in the fast growing town of Tuli was actually felt since a long time by all concerned. It was in the historic session of Merangkong Senso Staff Union on 28th December 1994 that a resolution was adopted to organize for the opening of a college at Tuli. Eventually, Tuli College was established on 17th of June 1996.

The college has been named after the town of its location to indicate that the result of the wishes, will and efforts of the Merangkong Senso Staff union in particular and the public of Tuli in general. At present, the college is located at Borbora Ward of Tuli town with a beautiful campus surrounded by wide open spaces providing the right atmosphere for the learners to build their career for a rewarding future.
